BRAIN

At the Academy of Sciences in San Franciso I saw brain cases.
Dogs compared with other dogs.
The chiuahua's is big. The saluki not so much.
The malamute smaller than I would have thought.

Then there were humanoids.
(sounds like robots;
Maybe homonyms would do)
Sounds alike, but different.

Neanderthals had big strong jaws.
Us?
We're wimpy in the jaw department.

I wouldn't have believed it;
I chew my teeth, ice, stale frenchbread, and every so often chomp my poor cheek.

My extra tough night guard reduces the cracked teeth.
Seems as if I could easily chew right through rabbit fur to the raw meat, to the bone, just like Neanderthals must have.

No, wait.
They must have cooked.
Their brain cases were large enough to understand the culinary arts.

And I must admit,
tender steak is always a pleasure.
Tasty cooked yams trump raw anyday.
And braised carrots are like pudding!
