Snowflake cutting is all the rage.
Fold once in 1/2, then again and finally push a point to a point and you're ready to cut.
Explain to the cutters, "Only snip off the point a little. And little cuts are ok as long as you leave the edges some edge, leftover to hold the snowflake together."
So new, designs are quite square, but turn them and paste them on the windows, some tipping, a suggested snow storm in white and blue.
Excitement ensues when creative children discover a trick: cut with abandon and look what you've got! Four snowflakes exactly alike or pieces falling like rain, as they are clipped and snipped and torn in frustration, little eyes see beauty and scraps are saved.
So complex these snowflakes, how about pasting chains instead. Blue and white just like the flakes, but no more worry when scissors won't obey. The strips are cut, so just paste. But try to get loops instead of teardrops, at least this time...
Tear-droppy chains
sound wonderful next!
