Flooding Outside

Yeah, it's flooding outside in the orchard.
The excess water is flowing over the driveway, rolling west into the creek, which is roiling onto the flats of the North Bay, winding through ditches, finally finding it's way to the River,
(so called by the Downtown Association,
to spruce up the title of "slough")
then on to the Bay and Ocean.

The Bay tides affect all this water, so the slough
(river)
sloshes up and down thereby flooding low spots off and on.

The house is just enough up from sea level that we stay dry inside.
The sump pumps run, run, run, watched carefully by the pump/generator man who lives here.

Good pumps, pumping good amounts of water to a goodly flooded gutter to a good swift creek to a good slow flooded plain via goodly dug ditches to a good old dredged river down to the good 'ole Bay and into the great good Pacific ocean!

I feel like I'm sloshing about in a slooshy world, rain still falling thick and fast.
