Gardening Injury Update

I have 7 pairs of gardening gloves...
...purchased with the intention of having gardening gloves at each potential gardening spot in case of sudden, spontaneous gardening activities.

Garage,
front door,
sliding door,
outside table in the back,
little table out the front door,
in the gardening bag in the garage,
somewhere else unknown.

Do they prevent injuries to the hand?
"Only if you put them on stupid!"
Harsh words to myself from myself!

At this time I have the following owies on my poor sore hands:

cuts on both thumb tips,
scratches and scabs on the back of both hands.
sunburn,
rose thorn pokes,
blistering callus on finger,
and
an icky, deep cut on the wrist now covered with a tight bandaid to avoid stitches.
I give up.

on gardening...
