Sights & Sounds

The sounds are in the sights, so click on the images...

Cows up the road at the dairy,
up early, 4:30 a.m.
Milked again at 5:00.

The ravens start the day,
checking the social scene
krawking with buddies.

Scanning the goods.
Any dried up sandwiches at the school, they wonder?

Squawking scrub jays demanding attention,
jabber loudly for sunflowers.

I keep hearing train whistles,
although T says they've been gone 2o years.

The state saves the train tracks that will never be used again.

The summertime cricket singers are harmonizing out my window.

An open window.
To let in the cool after a really hot day.
They sing in the evening dark.

With their frog friends and the night birds,
they close down the day.
Nostalgic night sounds.
