Have you made your choice this morning?
Well, ok, Mr. Grumpy...go have your coffee first!
Before you can think or even open your eyes!
We'll wait and clean up the grinds and the slopped milk!
Hmmph!
Oatmeal is always a good idea. Put almonds or walnuts in the bowl first, then spoon the hot porridge on top for maximum flavor. Top it with brown sugar and milk. Cream is too decadent, but 1/2 and 1/2 might be ok.
Facing a long cold winter day? Bacon, eggs, and fried potatoes will tide you over. A big glass of home squeezed O.J. is the frosting on the cake! (?)
Toast for all seasons. With butter and/or jam. yummmm. Toast the toast with cheese 'til melty. Add tomatoes. What about cinnamon toast! Butter that smokin' hot toast and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Sour Dough French Bread toast is crunchy and golden with butter. The crust is the best part. I discovered milk toast at my friend's house.Y
The Japanese enjoy rice in the mornings with a spicy topping called furikake. The English eat bangers and mash. My Welsh uncle had us little kids eating kidneys with grilled onions for Saturday breakfasts! We loved it. And Goulash: scrambled eggs with everything piled in and stirred up.
But for many, cold cereal is the ticket each weekday morning. Cheerios, Rice Krispies, or Sugar Pops, (I feel sick). For health reasons, Museli, Shredded Wheat and granola will do. But twigs? Sticks, twigs, pine cones? That's for the squirrels, right?
I don't know how to explain this, but we ate it. It's good for us, I'm sure, but not very appetizing. Twigs? Just doesn't seem appropriate, somehow. What will coffee man choose? Maybe not the Kashi.

Having tried twigs et al, I would rather eat Gravel, bugs and dirt.
