The trouble with knitting socks is the fancy 3-needle work, not to mention turning the heel, whatever the heck that means. And then there is the problem of knitting onto 3 lacking-ends-type of knitting needles as is usual. Come on! That's like trying to knit with sticks! Of course there also is the problem of counting stitches. Is there an exact 25 across? Exactly 20 rows? Are they accurate all the way up? (or down, I'm not sure) Did you goof along the way? Did you rip out to fix the mistakes? How is your gauge holding up? Finally are your stitches even? Do you care? (no)

The answers to all of these questions is a firm "who knows?". So here I go attempting to knit socks. Or sock, depending on difficulty and frustration levels. It'll be fun. Or if not fun, it'll be interesting. It could easily become a doll blanket, if I had a doll. Or the beginning of something beautiful and crazily UNusual. I love funny knitted stuff.
Caveat:
Google "funny knitting" and you'll find blogs full of
PERFECT knitted things and
that's
not
fair!
