A LOOK to the LEFT
A RENDEZVOUS on the BIRCH
Each morning these two sit atop the birch chatting. Guttural highs and gravelly lows and even squeaky chirps. My theory? A young one, learning at the elder's knee, (ankle? do ravens have knees?) discussing hunting strategies for baby puffball quail. Somehow we still have all 13 babies, now grown into teenagers, pigging out under the bird seeder. (we call it the bird seeder to be silly)
Those Ravens quiet down when they see me! Don't mess with the quail, corvids!!

We loves us the baby quail.
When'ere we see them up thisaways, we (humans) excitedly call out to each other in the LOUDEST whispers: 'The PEEPS are here! The PEEPS are here!!!'.
Silly lives everywhere, yes?
Thanks for sharing your morning wildlife spottings!
