Beagles are cousins to the basset hound,
so I should be grateful.
And yet, I sigh, drop my head in my hands,
and tell myself, "Their day will come."

Some day.
Some way.
Some how.

Then you'll hear the deep howling!
The baying!

Then you'll see flab flapping
and drool dripping!

Oh, joy!
