They're at it again.
My neighbor ravens,
those from the firehouse cedar.
Hopping to the birch next door,
they give me a good show
Two together,
a parent and fledgling?
Just watching
Commenting to the
raven rookeries in the eucalyptuses.
"What's up?"
These birds are intelligent.
Even tool users.
Clever and chatty.
Living in complex societies.
We've been here 23 years.
They've been here longer.
Oh, to discover the stories from those bird brains.
I'd love to know it all.
