Speaking of the New Generation

My friend B. grew up in Chinatown.
3rd or 4th generation San Franciscan.
Her family's been there quite a while.

My family did, too,
Grew up somewhere near the Presidio.
Same town, different neighborhood.
But everybody was busy raising children.

We two friends ran across each other as adults in Small Town, USA. Children of the 60's, raising children of the 70's. We are close friends still...me with B., husbands with husbands and children with children.
ALL of us friends with the brand new generation!!

This tiny, new, "next generation" baby has so many loving friends before she even knows it!! Lots of loving arms are waiting to hold her with their faces ready to coo into her baby face.
