Paradise

How long can tails get?!
Birds of Paradise in New Guinea come in
an explosion of colorful feathered fantasmas.
Unbelievable;
they would be rejected as unreal in a painting.

I think I could draw absolutely ANYTHING;
and call it a species of bird
or a blossom.
Anything.

This occurred to me in Hawaii...

...I could sketch any old thing and call it a Hawaiian plant.

Some flowers looked like folded tissue paper,
some like oragami, some seemed created with poured wax,
some with clay, some would never be believed
unless seen and maybe not even then.

How many colors are expressed in the natural world?
We know so little.
Our world is huge beyond comprehension,
and mostly hidden.

A Movie about Australian Aboriginal life
hundreds and thousands of years ago,
beginning 60,000 years ago and explained in Dreamtime:

Dreams form stories that connect
many realities and times into one grand narrative.
Dreams are stories, and the stories are real.

"We are all isitors to this time, this place.
We are just passing through.
Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love,
...and then we return home.”

We moderns know almost nothing.
Open our eyes!
See what we can learn about our unknowable earth!
